Meet The Nova Leadership Team

Dr. Torres is a double boarded OB/GYN Maternal-Fetal (MFM) specialist, and he’s been a part of the team at Regional Obstetrical Consultants since 2006. Dr. Torres completed his medical studies at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, College of Medicine in 1999. He completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (UT COM Chattanooga) in 2003, and received MFM training at Emory University, completing his fellowship in 2006. At present, in addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Torres functions as the CEO of Regional Obstetrical Consultants.

Teaching is one of Dr. Torres’ passions, and he has been on the faculty of the UT College of Medicine in the capacity of Associate Professor since 2008, receiving many accolades both locally and nationally. He was awarded Teacher of the Year multiple times locally, and nationally received the ISSHP Investigator Award, ACOG, and APGO Teacher of the Year. His particular academic interests include preterm labor, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, and doppler ultrasonography.

Since 2008, Dr. Torres has been instrumental in implementing one of the largest MFM telehealth networks in the region, thus making available to patients living in rural communities the same level of care they would have access to in larger metropolitan areas. He is multilingual– speaking fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and enjoys participating in the care of the Hispanic population in Tennessee and Georgia. His hobbies include traveling, boating, and cars of any kind.

Andrea Das, MD, FACOG is a skilled OB/GYN who specializes in women’s health, providing the highest standard of care for Chicagoland women at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Dr. Das attended medical school at Calcutta National Medical College in Kolkata, India, before completing her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Fluent in English, Bengali, and Hindi, Dr. Das offers patient-centered care in a warm and comforting manner. She thoroughly talks to each patient about their health issues and encourages women to take an active role in the decisions surrounding their health care.

With more than 20 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics, infertility, urogynecological procedures, and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Das can provide a range of services and individualized care to meet each patient’s needs.

Active in her field, Dr. Das has published in journals and presented at several conferences. She lives in the Northwest Suburbs in Chicago with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. When she isn’t helping patients, Dr. Das enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr. John Reyes is a co-founder and the Practice Director of Modern Ob/Gyn. Dr. John proudly comes from a family that includes six Ob/Gyns who have dedicated their lives to women's health. His father, brother, sister, sister-in-law, and wife together have delivered over 20,000 babies and counting! Drawing on this breadth of shared experience, Dr. Reyes devotedly offers his patients a highly personal and caring approach to healthcare and places a special emphasis on patient education and counseling.

Dr. John Reyes is Board Certified. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Reyes attended Austin College in Texas and completed medical school at the University of Nebraska. He finished his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint Louis University. During his specialty training, Dr. Reyes received several honors. Dr. Reyes was awarded the award for best teaching resident, the Excellence in Scientific Achievement Award, the Senior Research Award, and was honored to serve as the academic chief resident and was the recipient of the award for Excellence in Medical Research. Dr. Reyes served as an academic faculty attending physician at Albert Einstein Medical Center Department of Ob/Gyn in Philadelphia for three years, where he specifically taught and trained future Ob/Gyn physicians.

Dr. Reyes has a special interest in laparoscopic, robotic surgery and helped bring minimally invasive Gyn surgery to our medical community. Dr. Reyes speaks fluent Spanish and has been honored with a community service award for his dedication to the Hispanic community. He has a passion and talent for ensuring the practice delivers excellent patient care and quality satisfaction to all its patients.

Dr. Ingrid Reyes is a co-founder and Medical Director of Modern Ob/Gyn. While serving as a leading physician in the community in her field, Dr. Ingrid continues to enjoy seeing patients in the office setting, performing advanced Gyn surgeries, and being a part of watching young families grow when she gets to deliver babies.

Dr. Ingrid received her medical training at Saint Louis University, then completed her residency training at Hahnemann Hospital at Drexel University in Philadelphia. During her residency, Dr. Ingrid Reyes was honored with several awards during her training. She was the recipient of the CREOG academic excellence award twice which is given to the resident who achieves the highest score on the annual national resident examination. Dr. Reyes was also individually chosen by her faculty to serve as the academic chief resident in her senior year. Dr. Reyes enjoys teaching and has presented numerous presentations and educational conferences on a vast array of women's health topics.

Dr. Reyes has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and was the first gynecologist to perform robotic surgery at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. She is excited to bring this knowledge and experience to her patients. Dr. Ingrid Reyes is Board Certified. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Reyes is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American Medical Association.

Dr. Ingrid Reyes’ personal interests include reading, enjoying the outdoors, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Kenneth Finkelstein is the founder of Women’s Healthcare of Illinois and has been caring for women in the Chicagoland area for over 20 years. He is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, specializing in urogynecology. Dr. Finkelstein treats women experiencing bladder control issues such as incontinence and frequency. He also does routine gynecologic care.

Dr. Finkelstein holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at Maccomb, Hutzel, and Riverview Hospitals, and the Michigan Health Center in Detroit in 1994. He previously served as Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at Little Company of Mary Hospital. He was also chairman of Gynecologic Endoscopy at the Chicago Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Finkelstein is a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Midwest University in Downers Grove and a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists. He is also a member of the American Urogynecology Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Finkelstein is a certified da Vinci® robotic surgeon and national proctor, training other physicians in robotic surgery.

Dr. Finkelstein grew up in Georgia and has lived in the Chicago south suburbs since 1997. Dr. Finkelstein is very family centric. He enjoys having experiences with his wife and four children, such as traveling, cheering on the Chicago White Sox or playing a round of golf.
